GEHA, Hunt Family Foundation Donate $10K For Swim Lessons in Memory of Chiefs RB Joe Delaney

Pool Magazine Season 2 Episode 43

Recently, GEHA and The Hunt Family Foundation made a heartwarming announcement to sponsor swimming lessons for children in Haughton, Louisiana – the hometown of Kansas City Chiefs RB Joe Delaney.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of Joe Delaney's heroic act of sacrificing his life while trying to save three children from drowning. In honor of his memory and selflessness, both GEHA and The Hunt Family Foundation have decided to contribute $5,000 each to the Delaney 37 Foundation. This Foundation was established by Delaney's family members and aims to provide mentorship and education to children in and around Haughton. It offers various programs, including water safety, financial literacy, and leadership initiatives, all geared towards enhancing the lives of the local youth.

In this episode of Pool Magazine podcast we chat with Gene Willis of GEHA and Joanna Noel of the Delaney 37 Foundation to learn more about what their organizations are doing to help make a difference.
